Ken’s financial consulting career began in Naperville, IL where his work predominately focused in Accounting Software Development and IT Consulting. Ken has enjoyed several management roles in the Accounting and Tax Resolution industry at a variety of firms in the Chicago Area.

Ken Smith is a Licensed and Ordained Pastor at the New Life Church of Dixon. He has become personally familiar with the unique tax and reporting needs of non-profit entities including churches and schools. In his church role, Ken holds financial and tax seminars for those who are struggling financially to develop and implement a plan to financial security. He founded a non-profit Day Care Center providing Early Childhood Education as an affiliate of the Church.

Ken Smith received his Bachelor of Science from Northeastern Illinois University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from North Park University as well as a Masters of Divinity (MDIV) from North Park Seminary. While attending school, he served with the U.S. Army Illinois National Guard and later in the U.S. Army Reserves. A life-long learner, Ken holds an Associates Degree in Computer Programming from the College of Lake County, a Real Estate Appraisal Degree from Triton University, and an Early Childhood Development Degree from Sauk Valley Community College. He enjoyed the Army Medic Nursing Program at Fort Sam Huston, TX. Currently residing in the Northern Chicago area, Ken is happily married and enjoys daily walks with a cute little Labrador mix named Bailey.
